Third Leg- Chicago

We made it to Chicago on Friday.

We saw Cheryl (cousin) and her husband, Ryan. Cheryl helped us find a great hotel for cheap on Hotwire.  We didn't know what the hotel would be,all we knew was Michigan Ave, by Grant Park... Well come to find out, we scored the iconic Hilton Chicago.

The sweet lady at the counter had a soft spot for the military and gave us a jr. suite and a discount on parking. Also, we knew the hotel was pet friendly, but kind of didn't mention we had two furry friends with us. So we had dogs in the super grand Hilton Chicago. It was pretty humorous walking through this beautiful historic hotel with marble everywhere and we have two mutts with us. We just laughed. All part of the adventure.

Drew and I had some time to explore before we met up with Cheryl and Ryan.
We walked around Grant Park and Lake Michigan.

We met up with Cheryl and Ryan at the park and enjoyed an outside concert by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

After the concert, we picked up the dogs and walked around downtown Chicago with Cheryl and Ryan. We enjoyed our time with them.

And not to forget our seven legs!
The showed us where they were married and were very good tour guides of the part of the city we were in. I learned a lot about Chicago.
Later on, said bye to Cheryl and Ryan after a nice visit.
